I
was raised in Belton, SC
and attended Belton-Honea
Path High School (Class of 1986). My family is very well known in the
community; my parents are Roy Mac and Carolyn Haggard. I also have an
older sister, Ann, who now lives in Charleston, SC.
After living on Palmetto Parkway for several years, my family moved out to the
country, near B-HP High School. It wasn't long after our move that I was
introduced to the game of golf. Then I started playing for B-HP in the 8th
grade and continued through high school.
After my high school graduation, I attended
Spartanburg Methodist College since I had
not decided on my career path at the beginning of my collegiate studies, I later
chose Chiropractic because I was introduced to
Chiropractic by Dr. William "Bill" Keown when I was young. So, I changed
my studies to focus on Chiropractic, first attending University of NC
(Charlotte) to get the necessary under-graduate courses for Chiropractic
College. Then I went on to Life Chiropractic College in
Marietta, GA and then transferred to Sherman School of Chiropractic
located in Spartanburg, SC.
I worked for several
Chiropractic offices before eventually opening up Palmetto Family Chiropractic
in September, 2003.
